Description

Assistant Professor, Learning and Leadership

College of Health, Education and Professional Studies

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC), with a current enrollment of 12,000 students, is seeking to fill a position in the Learning and Leadership programs within the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies to begin in January 2023.

This is a twelve-month, full-time, Assistant Professor appointment that requires year-round instruction, advising and supervising multi-disciplinary research at the graduate level. This position requires experience with online, and hybrid learning environments.

The learning and leadership program is competency based, and the curriculum is multi-disciplinary. The curriculum is work/experience embedded. Most of the students pursuing these degrees are actively working and engaged in various areas of professional practice.

We see learning as transformative relative to human behavior and cognition in multiple venues. From a Leadership perspective we believe that leadership is a shared process based on relationships, organizational goals and measurable outcomes, not a study of individuals with positional power often viewed as leaders or bosses by title of position. Please visit the program websites at: https://www.utc.edu/health-education-and-professional-studies/school-of-professional-studies/learning-and-leadership

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate Ph.D., Ed.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., Quantitative Research Methods, Psychology, Organizational Behavior).
